Financial Economist and development expert, Colette ASNGAR WALENDOM began her career in designing and structuring projects and programs. For several years, working with the African Development Bank, she had to create and manage projects in agriculture, industrial development, economic governance, and credit lines with components dedicated to women.
In September 2024, she defended her Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) on the theme “Issues and Challenges to Women’s Entrepreneurship in Africa: Case of Ivory Coast” under the direction of Professor Marie-Christine Chalus, Director of iaelyon School of Management, Lyon III University.
Her thesis focuses on the problem of female entrepreneurship in Africa, specifically the case of Ivory Coast. Her research aims to examine the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs, based on a survey conducted in Abidjan, and to identify prospects for their activities
