Ralf Rössler studied chemistry at the University of Heidelberg and then dentistry at the Universities of Hanover and Giessen. From 1990 to 1998 he was a research assistant and assistant professor at the Department of Periodontics at the University of Giessen. His research focus is on the development of biomaterials and "tissue engineering".
From 2001 to 2005 he was a lecturer at the Department for Operational Dentistry and Periodontics at the Benjamin Franklin Campus of the Charité Universitätsmedizin in Berlin. He is a lecturer and head of the Continuing Education Curriculum Study Programs in various dental organizations. Specialization: implantology (DGI), periodontics (plastic-aesthetic periodontal surgery and periodontal microsurgery).
Since January 2013 he has been a professor for “Interdisciplinary Periodontology” at the "praxisHochschule" in Cologne. Rössler is a founding member and dean of the DTMD University for Digital Technologies in Medicine and Dentistry in Luxembourg, and a member of many national and international dental organizations.
