Stéphane Haefliger holds a Bachelor’s and Master's degree in Political Science, a Master's Degree in Social Sciences, a Diploma of Higher University Studies in Theory and Practice of Interventions in Business and a Diploma of Specialized Higher Studies in Counseling, Orientation and Skill Management. Trained in management psychology, he has held the position of Communication and Human Resources Director in international private banks for over 10 years. Previously, he led the Consulting Department for KPMG Suisse Romande for five years and was also the Personal Advisor to a Minister (Department of Economics, Canton of Vaud), during which time he was responsible in particular for his political communication.
As a regular lecturer at various institutions of higher learning, he published La société d’excommunication [The Society of Excommunication], a critical work on the role of the media in contemporary democracies. He regularly publishes articles on the topic of HR and the organization of work on his personal website: www.stephanehaefliger.com.
He joined the Business Science Institute (Geneva, Cohort 3) in April 2015 and is preparing his Executive DBA thesis on the topic of performance evaluation. He is the author of DRH et Manager, levez vous ! Vie et mort des organisations [Human Resource directors and managers, get up! The Life and Death of Organizations], which will soon be published by EMS in the Business Science Institute's "Managerial Practices" collection.
