Marc Favier, Doctor in Management Sciences, computer engineer at the Grenoble Institute of Technology, is a professor and researcher at the University of Grenoble. Among other subjects, he teaches Information Systems Management, Strategic Management, Project Management, and Organizational Behavior. He was in charge of Information Systems Research in the CERAG laboratory, a UMR of the CNRS, for 8 years. He created a Master’s Degree in Investigation and Auditing at Jean Monnet University and directed the program for 3 years. He began his professional career at Hewlett-Packard where he worked for 10 years and the Grenoble School of Management before becoming a professor of higher education.
His research deals partly with technologies and methodologies for collaborative computer engineering (e.g. virtual teams, social networks, e-learning etc.) and partly with e-business, electronic commerce, and business strategies for implementing large networks, particularly the internet. He has authored and co-authored six books and several articles, which have been published in both French and international CNRS/AERES journals.
