Birahim Gueye is Associate Professor of Management Sciences at the University Gaston Berger of Saint-Louis, Senegal, and Lecturer at IAE Lille. His teaching concerns include strategic management research, business theories and qualitative methodology, as well as the politics of distribution and sales force. As the director of the SERGe Laboratory (Saint-Louis Etudes et Recherche en Gestion), his principal research interests include strategic choice in emerging markets, entrepreneurship and strategic behavior in new or specific fields, as well as the management of franchise networks. He is the author of “Repenser le Co-développement” (International Journal of Migration Studies, XLVI, n° 174, 2009) and “La Généralisation de la confiance dans les réseaux de franchise, pivot de la performance” (Management et Avenir, n° 22, February 2009), and has also presented his research at numerous symposiums.
